Qld Fire & Biodiversity Consortium Fire Management Workshop
Time & Location
11 June, 9:00 am – 2:30 pm
Grandchester, Grandchester QLD 4340, Australia
About the event
Even though fire may not be at the forefront of your minds, we are aiming to build a fire resilient community who are prepared for future fire events. This workshop will be split into two sessions across the day.
The first session is focused on fire management and how fire interacts with ecosystems across a landscape. This first session is open to anyone who would like to learn about fire management where local agencies will prepare you for this year’s fire season and offer valuable advice on fire management. The second session is focused on the direct application of fire management on your property and developing property-specific management plans based upon topography, important assets, regional ecosystems and much more. The first session is open to anyone who would like to attend. The second session is only open to Landholder conservation partners (Biodiversity Conservation Agreement, Corridor Conservation Agreement and Land for Wildlife Partners). To attend the second session you MUST attend the first session.
